Vacancy available: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Knox County, Missouri. Day-to-day duties: • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions You should have: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) Part-time with flexible hours.
