Brick and block layer wanted in Fort Bend County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Fort Bend County, Texas. You will be based at a residential building site. On a typical shift you will buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge; brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go; building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses; installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays. What we are looking for: • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) Pay around $3,800 per month, based on your experience.
