Ideal candidate: • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases Day-to-day duties: • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing • Sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents Rotating shifts.
