Vacancy available: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Ibeno, Akwa Ibom State. The job is in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. The role involves grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters; set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints. Requirements: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Own basic hand tools and PPE Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Overtime paid at a premium rate.
