Metal caster — Otoe County

Now hiring: we are hiring a metal caster in Otoe County, Nebraska. You will work at a brass and bronze foundry. Day-to-day duties: • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity Requirements: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings Full-time, day shift.
