Formwork joiner • Defiance County, Ohio

We are recruiting: we are hiring a formwork joiner in Defiance County, Ohio. You will be based at a precast concrete yard. The role involves repair damaged plywood and timber shutters; brace and strut the formwork to stop movement during the pour; check alignment with spirit level, plumb bob and string line; fix soldiers, walers and tie rods to resist the concrete pressure; seal panel joints and hold the correct concrete cover to prevent grout loss; read formwork drawings and setting-out marks to position the shutters. Requirements: • Sound understanding of props, bracing and load-bearing • Skilled with circular saw, hand tools and spirit level • Confident working at height on scaffold and decking 2+ years on the tools preferred.
