Great opportunity: we are hiring an offshore rigger in Monroe County, Georgia. The job is at a shipyard. Requirements: • Confident with standard crane hand signals • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket On a typical shift you will direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio; read lift plans and method statements before starting; check sling angles to stay within the working load limit; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings; set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads. 4+ years on the tools preferred. Rotating shifts. Meals and transport allowance provided. $150 per day, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
