Gtaw welder — Sagadahoc County

Now hiring: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Sagadahoc County, Maine. You will be based on an industrial construction site. The role involves back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding. Requirements: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances Rotating shifts. Meals and transport allowance provided. $25 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
