Join our team: we are hiring a blocklayer in Sunflower County, Mississippi. The job is at a residential building site. Day to day you will installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays; spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel; erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts; building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation; laying bricks to the line, level and plumb; forming arches, piers and reveals around openings. What we are looking for: • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts. Pay around $4,600 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
