Vacancy available: we are hiring a garment presser in Boone County, Illinois. Requirements: • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets Your main tasks: • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents 4+ years on the tools preferred.
