Immediate opening: plant operator (Michigan)

Join our team: we are hiring a plant operator in Cheboygan County, Michigan. You will work in an open-cast mine. Requirements: • Valid heavy equipment / plant operator licence • Awareness of site safety, PPE and lifting procedures • Able to read levels, pegs and basic site drawings On the job you will handle: • Carry out daily pre-start checks on engine oil, coolant, hydraulic fluid and track tension • Stockpile and spread material to the required levels • Backfill and compact soil around pipes and foundations • Operate the boom, stick and bucket to dig, lift and place material • Excavate trenches and foundations to the marked depths and grade levels • Check for underground cables and services before digging Full-time with occasional weekends. Performance bonus on top of base pay. We offer $4,500 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
