Day to day you will inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode. Ideal candidate: • Own basic hand tools and PPE • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings 3+ years on the tools preferred.
