Fire and safety officer wanted in Kauai County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a fire and safety officer in Kauai County, Hawaii. Requirements: • Strong record-keeping and incident-reporting skills • Minimum 2-3 years on construction or factory sites On the job you will handle: • Conduct job hazard analysis (JHA) on every new task • Stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action • Run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points • Check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements • Inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height • Run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry 5+ years on the tools preferred.
