Join our team: we are hiring a steel fixing chargehand in Saint Bernard Parish, Louisiana. The job is on a civil engineering bridge and roads site. On a typical shift you will assemble column and beam cages on the bench; cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder; lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman; keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust; fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings; bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine. You should have: • Comfortable working at height and in deep excavations • Valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves) 6+ years on the tools preferred. We offer $4,200 per month plus benefits. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
