The role involves sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; keep the arc length and travel speed consistent; grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety Part-time with flexible hours.
