Urgent requirement: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Somerset County, Maryland. The job is in a food and dairy equipment factory. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances The role involves clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job; carry out 6G pipe welds where required; set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring). Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Full-time, day shift. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. $3,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
