Great opportunity: we are hiring a gas pipe fitter in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama. The job is at a heating and plumbing contractor. Day-to-day duties: • Install gas meters, regulators and isolation valves • Braze copper gas lines and weld carbon-steel pipe joints • Connect combi boilers, water heaters and gas cookers to the supply • Read isometric drawings and mark out the pipe routes • Check every joint for leaks with soapy water and leak-detection spray • Complete gas safety certificates and label the finished installation Requirements: • Valid gas fitter's licence and Gas Safe (or local) registration • Able to read isometric and site drawings Pay around $5,200 per month, based on your experience.
