Ideal candidate: • ITI in electrical/mechanical or an equivalent trade certificate • Comfortable working at height and in confined hoistways • Good head for heights for pit and car-top work The role involves fault-find control circuits with a multimeter and test instruments; replace worn sheaves, rollers, contactors and relays; top up the oil and bleed the cylinder on hydraulic lifts; fill in the service logbook and statutory inspection paperwork; mount and align landing doors, sills and car door operators; service the traction motor, brake and gearbox.
