Now hiring: we are hiring a MIG welder in Ascension Parish, Louisiana. The job is at a pipe and tank fabrication yard. On a typical shift you will grind back and re-weld any defective runs; set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator; strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc; weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions; read fabrication drawings and weld symbols. What we are looking for: • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings $4,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
