Occupational health and safety officer — Igalamela-Odolu

Now hiring: we are hiring an occupational health and safety officer in Igalamela-Odolu, Kogi State. You will be based at a manufacturing plant. What we are looking for: • NEBOSH, IOSH or a recognised OHS certificate • Strong record-keeping and incident-reporting skills The role involves: • Take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry • Investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports • Ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site • Verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates • Check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements • Enforce lockout-tagout (LOTO) on energised and rotating equipment 6+ years on the tools preferred.
