You should have: • Comfortable using vernier, micrometer and gauges • Basic record-keeping and part-counting skills • Knowledge of lockout-tagout and machine safety On the job you will handle: • Follow lockout-tagout before cleaning or clearing the machine • Report breakdowns to the maintenance fitter • Run the first-off piece and check it against the drawing • Clear jams and remove rejected parts from the line • Load raw material and feed stock into the machine hopper • Key in cycle parameters such as speed, feed rate and temperature 5+ years on the tools preferred. $2,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
