Join our team: we are hiring a concrete worker in Polk County, North Carolina. The job is on a road and bridge project. Requirements: • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long hours on your feet • Able to work to tight pour schedules and night pours • ITI in masonry or civil work an added advantage On the job you will handle: • Patch honeycombs and tie-rod holes with non-shrink grout • Mix concrete to the specified grade (M15, M20, M25) by hand or in a mixer • Load, hoist and barrow concrete to the upper floors • Set out levels with a spirit level, line and pins • Carry out slump tests and cast cubes for the lab • Erect and align timber and steel shuttering before each pour Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
