Abattoir worker — Broome County

Vacancy available: we are hiring an abattoir worker in Broome County, New York. You will be based in a hotel or restaurant butchery. Requirements: • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry Day-to-day duties: • Dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date • Run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone • Portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights • Break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts • Debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife 5+ years on the tools preferred.
