Immediate opening: we are hiring a sheet metal welder in Metcalfe County, Kentucky. The job is at a busy fabrication workshop. Your main tasks: • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal Ideal candidate: • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Full-time, day shift. $31 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
