We are recruiting: we are hiring a shuttering and concrete hand in City of Fairfax, Virginia. You will be based in a residential housing project. The role involves: • Discharge and place concrete from transit mixers and pumps into the forms • Give broom or steel-trowel finishes as specified • Fix and tie reinforcement bars and mesh as per the bar bending schedule • Carry out slump tests and cast cubes for the lab • Cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days • Set out levels with a spirit level, line and pins You should have: • Able to read structural drawings and bar bending schedules • Willing to wear safety boots, helmet and full PPE 6+ years on the tools preferred.
