Gas meter installer wanted in North Slope Borough

Great opportunity: we are hiring a gas meter installer in North Slope Borough, Alaska. The role involves: • Run polyethylene (PE) service pipe and electrofusion-weld the joints • Check every joint for leaks with soapy water and leak-detection spray • Locate and repair gas leaks and replace corroded pipe sections • Braze copper gas lines and weld carbon-steel pipe joints • Complete gas safety certificates and label the finished installation • Purge air from the lines and commission appliances to the correct gas rate Requirements: • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces • Sound knowledge of gas safety regulations and pressure testing Part-time with flexible hours.
