Site safety steward • Vale of Glamorgan, Wales

Immediate opening: we are hiring a site safety steward in Vale of Glamorgan, Wales. The job is at a manufacturing plant. Day-to-day duties: • Audit housekeeping and barricading around excavations and open edges • Record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date • Take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry • Deliver site induction to new workers, subcontractors and visitors • Update the risk register and method statements (RAMS) What we are looking for: • Physically fit for full-site inspections on foot • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot • Able to read and prepare RAMS and method statements 2+ years on the tools preferred.
