Now hiring: we are hiring a machine operator (earthworks) in Greensville County, Virginia. The job is on a busy civils and groundworks site. What we are looking for: • Comfortable with GPS or laser machine control • Sound understanding of daily maintenance and greasing The role involves: • Strip and stockpile topsoil ready for reuse • Dig and trim drainage channels and attenuation ponds • Carry out daily greasing and check hydraulic oil, coolant and fuel levels • Lift and place pipes, manholes and precast sections with the bucket and chains • Load spoil into tippers and dumpers cleanly without spillage Six days a week, one day off.
