Gas metal arc welder wanted in Tioga County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a gas metal arc welder in Tioga County, New York. You will work at an automobile body shop. The role involves control distortion with a balanced welding sequence; read fabrication drawings and weld symbols; lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints; tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing; set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator; clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead. Ideal candidate: • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances • Willing to work shifts and overtime • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
