Aluminium tig welder wanted in City of Virginia Beach

Urgent requirement: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in City of Virginia Beach, Virginia. Day-to-day duties: • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) Requirements: • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection 2+ years on the tools preferred. Meals and transport allowance provided. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
