Vacancy available: foundry operative (Louisiana)

Join our team: we are hiring a foundry operative in Red River Parish, Louisiana. You should have: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry Day-to-day duties: • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew.
