Reinforcement steel fixer — York County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a reinforcement steel fixer in York County, Virginia. You will be based at a rebar fabrication workshop. Day-to-day duties: • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length • Place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing • Set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift • Read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat Requirements: • Comfortable working at height and in deep excavations • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Pay around $24 per hour, based on your experience. Meals and transport allowance provided. Part-time with flexible hours. Contact us to fix an interview.
