Gas pipeline fitter — Logan County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a gas pipeline fitter in Logan County, Illinois. On the job you will handle: • Check every joint for leaks with soapy water and leak-detection spray • Test combustion and flue gases with a flue gas analyser • Purge air from the lines and commission appliances to the correct gas rate • Locate and repair gas leaks and replace corroded pipe sections • Install gas meters, regulators and isolation valves • Carry out tightness (pressure) tests with a manometer and lock off the supply You should have: • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces • Own hand tools and pipe wrenches Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
