External wall insulation fitter — Lake and Peninsula Borough

We are recruiting: we are hiring an external wall insulation fitter in Lake and Peninsula Borough, Alaska. You will be based in lofts and crawl spaces. You will work to drawings, hitting the specified U-values and insulation thickness; apply liquid waterproofing to bathrooms and terraces before tiling; measure and cut insulation boards neatly around pipes, ducts and openings; fit mineral wool and glass wool batts between studs, joists and rafters. Requirements: • Own basic hand tools such as a utility knife and trowel • Confident using a gas torch to bond bituminous membrane • Sharp eye for sealing joints and avoiding thermal bridges 4+ years on the tools preferred. $260 per day, negotiable for the right hands. Meals and transport allowance provided. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
