Join our team: we are hiring an argon arc welder in Guernsey County, Ohio. The job is at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work Your main tasks: • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
