Now hiring: we are hiring a halal butcher in Bremer County, Iowa. You will be based at a halal meat counter. On the job you will handle: • Keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled • Mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone • Stuff and link fresh sausages with casings • Portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights • Trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts Ideal candidate: • 2+ years experience working as a butcher • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. $4,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
