Ideal candidate: • Able to stand for long hours on the shop floor • Able to read job cards and basic engineering drawings • 1-2 years' experience operating production machinery The role involves: • Monitor gauges and stop the machine when readings drift • Measure parts with vernier calliper, micrometer and go/no-go gauges • Clear jams and remove rejected parts from the line • Record output, scrap and downtime on the production sheet • Run the first-off piece and check it against the drawing • Set up and start the machine as per the job card Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
