Immediate opening: skimming plasterer (Mississippi)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a skimming plasterer in Lowndes County, Mississippi. Day-to-day duties: • Set up trestles and scaffold boards for ceiling work • Check walls for plumb and level as you go • Apply tanking and renovating plaster to damp walls • Skim plasterboard to a smooth finish ready for decoration • Float and rule off walls to a flat surface with a straightedge • Apply bonding and browning undercoats to brickwork and blockwork You should have: • Reliable timekeeping and a strong work ethic • Proven experience hand-skimming and floating to a flat finish • Good head for heights for ceiling and stairwell work Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
