Track-type tractor operator — Marquette County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a track-type tractor operator in Marquette County, Michigan. You will work on a road construction project. On a typical shift you will clear land of trees, stumps and debris before earthworks begin; cut and fill ground to the levels marked on the grade stakes; spread imported fill in even layers ready for compaction; work to the dig plan and the banksman's signals; grade and level subgrade for roads, pads and platforms; form embankments and batter slopes to the required angle. You should have: • Good understanding of cut-and-fill and batter slopes • Knowledge of daily greasing and pre-start inspections • Valid heavy equipment or plant operator licence Six days a week, one day off.
