Sample machinist wanted in Story County

Now hiring: we are hiring a sample machinist in Story County, Iowa. You will work in a textile and apparel unit. Day-to-day duties: • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift What we are looking for: • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
