Join our team: hydraulic crane operator (Scotland)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a hydraulic crane operator in Orkney Islands, Scotland. You will be based at a shipbuilding yard. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts • Able to read load charts and lifting plans • Valid crane operator licence or certificate (CPCS, NPORS or local equivalent) The role involves fill in the daily logbook and raise defect reports; follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger; keep every lift within the safe working load (SWL); carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block. At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. Part-time with flexible hours. Meals and transport allowance provided. £2,550 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
