Ladle pourer — Anchorage Municipality

Vacancy available: we are hiring a ladle pourer in Anchorage Municipality, Alaska. Your main tasks: • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces You should have: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Basic grinding and fettling skills 3+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off. Meals and transport allowance provided. Pay around $4,600 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
