Vacancy available: bar bender and fixer (Imo State)

Join our team: we are hiring a bar bender and fixer in Orsu, Imo State. The job is on a busy residential building site. Day-to-day duties: • Keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers • Fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder • Lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. Part-time with flexible hours. Overtime paid at a premium rate. We offer ₦260,000 per month plus benefits. Contact us to fix an interview.
