Requirements: • Basic knowledge of hand tools like shovel, trowel and breaker • Wear safety helmet, boots and gloves at all times • Able to follow the mason's and supervisor's instructions Day-to-day duties: • Mix concrete and mortar to the correct ratio, by hand or in a pan mixer • Pour and spread concrete, then compact it with a poker vibrator • Fix and strip shuttering and formwork for beams and columns • Erect and dismantle scaffolding and pass materials up • Load and unload trucks of cement, steel bar and aggregate Rotating shifts.
