Your main tasks: • Read fabrication drawings and weld symbols • Change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch • Control distortion with a balanced welding sequence • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness You should have: • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances • Willing to work shifts and overtime Rotating shifts.
