Natural gas fitter — Macon County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a natural gas fitter in Macon County, North Carolina. The job is on residential and apartment building sites. Requirements: • Competent in pipe threading, brazing and PE electrofusion • 2+ years' experience on domestic and commercial gas installations • Valid gas fitter's licence and Gas Safe (or local) registration Day-to-day duties: • Purge air from the lines and commission appliances to the correct gas rate • Locate and repair gas leaks and replace corroded pipe sections • Thread, ream and join black iron pipe with pipe wrenches and thread sealant • Install gas meters, regulators and isolation valves • Fit flexible connection hoses and bayonet fittings to the appliances • Read isometric drawings and mark out the pipe routes At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
