Great opportunity: ladle pourer (Kentucky)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a ladle pourer in Whitley County, Kentucky. You will be based in the melting bay of a steel foundry. Day-to-day duties: • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture What we are looking for: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
