Great opportunity: we are hiring a banksman in Wabaunsee County, Kansas. The job is in a heavy machinery workshop. Day to day you will check sling angles to stay within the working load limit; attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks; coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle; establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area. Requirements: • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket Part-time with flexible hours.
