Crane rigger — Milton Keynes

Join our team: we are hiring a crane rigger in Milton Keynes, England. You will work in a steel fabrication yard. Requirements: • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites The role involves calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller; inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use; tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear.
