Sewing machine operator — Chatham County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a sewing machine operator in Chatham County, Georgia. You will work on an export house sewing floor. Requirements: • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens On a typical shift you will inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges; set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching; clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift. At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. Six days a week, one day off. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Pay around $11,000 per project, based on your experience.
